This kit allows you to synthesize a polymer by mixing two cold
immiscible solutions: nylon.
A volume of sebacoyledichloride is introduced
into a crystallizer.
Using a dropper pipette, the
same volume of hexamethylene is gradually added.
A nylon veil is formed at the
interface of the two liquids.
Using a dissection forceps (not supplied), the nylons ynthesized is extracted
from the reaction medium in the form of a thread that can be
wrapped around a glass stirrer (not supplied).
Nylon formation stops as soon as one of the two reagents
fails in relation to the other.

Composition:

• 1 vial of 250 mL sebacoyl dichloride
  solution in hexane
  
• 1 vial of 250 mL hexamethylene diamine
  in aqueous solution
