A perfect introduction to PCR and the use of DNA evidence in personal identification. In this 90-minute kit, students will help forensic investigators solve a criminal mystery by associating forensic DNA samples with the genetic material of a missing person.
Students will amplify the DNA of 4 samples (2 DNAs of suspects, 2 controls) by PCR in less than 45 minutes!
Then they will perform the electrophoresis of the results (consumables not included in this kit).
This kit also enables the discovery of the existence of genetic polymorphisms, the missing person carrying a gene mutation (CFTR gene, causing cystic fibrosis).

Composition for 32 tests (32 students):
