Group: Neanderthals (Homo sapiens nanderthalensis), discovered in 1908 in the south of France. Skull very elongated and low, very large capacity: 1 620 cm3. Very strong superciliary arches and receding forehead. Protruding nasal bones salient, wide and tall orbits. Strong mandible with receding chin. Teeth larger than man of today.
