Euglena gracilis
Non-flagellated photosynthetic microscopic algae.
Use: Study of photosynthesis by data logging, observation of chloroplasts.
They are amazing to watch. Flagellated, they are mobile. It is recommended to slow them down with a PROTOSLO solution to observe and count them.

Euglena without chloroplasts
This strain is a euglenoid mutant that no longer has chloroplasts. As a result, it is impossible to classify it as chlorophyllian algae, rather we consider it to be a protozoan although it is perfectly identical to Euglena except for the absence of chloroplasts. Its metabolism is purely heterotrophic.
