In cosmetology, knowledge of the processes of melanin synthesis of the skin allows the manufacture of products such as sunscreens.

Proposed activity:
This kit enables the synthesis of melanin in vitro from natural reagents, mushroom extract rich in natural tyrosinase enzymes, and chemical reagents, pyrocatechol and tyrosine. Here we suggest performing a synthesis of melanin in vitro by two different techniques and studying the different kinetic parameters of these reactions.
