Les accidents génétique de la méiose
This kit allows students to model a chromosome but also cell division, gametogenesis and chiasmus. The balls fit into each other thus creating strands of chromosomes. These strands fit into the centromeres (white tubes) which are magnetised.
It is thus very easy to create chromosomes and to study the segregation of chromatids during cell division or gametogenesis.
Balls of different colours are provided to model a gene.

Composition for 6 pairs of students:

  • 192 red balls to compose 6 red chromosomes
  • 192 yellow balls to compose 6 yellow chromosomes
  • 12 balls of another colour to model a gene on chromosomes
  • 24 magnetic tubes to model 12 centromeres
