This kit can detect the presence of blood on fabric or other materials by performing a Kastle-Meyer test. A wet cotton swab is rubbed on the tissue to be analysed and the reagents are poured over it. The appearance of colour indicates the presence of human or animal blood. Positive control strips are used to verify that the technique is working and to obtain the control colour.
