Cloud chamber requiring no current source or dry ice. It can be entirely assembled by students, making it educational. Just cool the base in the freezer, place ethanol on the top and fill the hot water tank. After a few minutes, the fog is formed and the first traces of the charged particles appear.

Composition :

• 1 bottom plate (to be placed in the freezer at least 24 hours before handling - operational for about an hour after removed at 20 ° C)
  
• 1 square section outline in transparent plexiglass
  
• 1 lid with, on one side, the felt to be soaked with ethanol and on the other a hot water tank (about 80 ° C - provide a kettle)
  
• 1 tungsten fragment mounted on a support disk: this one is naturally a beta emitter (no need to hold a radioactive source since it is not a source)
  
• 1 plastic electrostatic stick: polarises the fog to facilitate the formation of traces of charged particles
  
• 1 LED flashlight
